As commendations continue to trail the High Court judgement of Wednesday, December 18, 2019, which inter alia, vacated the interim order obtained by Ibrahim Umarh & 22 Ors, a group loyal to Sen. Magnus Abe, a former Rivers Southeast Senator, which kept in abeyance, the planned state-wide congresses of the All Progressives Congresses in Rivers State, a bigwig of the APC in the state, and a front line House of Assembly hopeful for Emohua Constituency under the platform of the APC in the 2019 elections, Chief (Hon.) Fubara Ohaka, has joined in applauding the court in its stern resolve and keen determination in ensuring that justice is manifestly seen to have been served on the matter.
Reacting to the news of the court’s ruling on his arrival from Abuja at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, via a telephone conversation, the party stalwart expressed satisfaction over the judgement, stressing that with the court’s position, the party has hived a sigh of relief from Sen. Abe’s untoward scheming which denied the party her chances of fielding candidates during the 2019 elections and setting her on the path of retrogress.
Hon. Fubara Ohaka, a former Coordinator of the Tonye Cole Governorship/APC Campaign in Emohua Local Government Area said, the judgement settles all disputes within the party, stressing that Sen. Abe and his followers will quickly have to decide whether or not to remain in the APC, notwithstanding the level of damages he has done to the soul of the party.
He prayed the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress to immediately swing into action, by organising fresh congresses to elect new ‘breeds’ into various leadership positions at the ward, local government and state levels.
He congratulated party faithful for their commitment and support for the Hon. Minister of Transportation and South South leader of the APC, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, whom he described as “a leader plenipotentiary”, who has shown very much commitment towards the repositioning of Nigeria in the comity of nations through massive rail infrastructure and human capital development.
Accordingly, Hon. Ohaka specially thanked Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a renowned media consultant, chieftain of the APC, South-South and former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP), describing him as a strategic thinker, a worthy friend of the Transportation Minister and a rare specie. He said, Eze is a true definition and rare example of friendship, who has devoted much of his time and energy striving for a better APC for the good of Rivers people.
While showering encomiums on members of the Rivers State All Progressives Congress across the state for their patience during the pendency of the matter at the High Court, Chief Fubara Ohaka equally commended the court for accelerated hearing and dispensation of the matter.
