HRH, Eze Ferdinand S. Mekwa (JP), Eleni-Ekenta XIII, the paramount ruler of Ogbakiri (Wezina), has conferred a prodigious chieftaincy title on the magnate, Hon. Emma Chindah, erstwhile commissioner for Agriculture, Rivers State.
Eze Ekenta, on behalf of Wezina Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, decorated Hon. Emma Chindah with a title of “Eze Omehia Eli 1 of Wezina” and an honorary title of “Eze Igwugwu Wezina”
The event which held on Saturday December 28, at Obiri Wezina, Oduoha-Ogbakiri of Emohua LGA, Rivers State, had in attendance dignitaries, particularly, His Excellency, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo (Represented by Vitalis Ortese), Sen. Andrew Uchendu, National Ag Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Victor Giadom, Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Hon. Emeka Beke, Hon. Victoria Nyeche Wobo, amongst others.
The Ogbakiri Monarch noted that conferment of traditional titles by him were very rare gesture as he was always keen to give such title to worthy individuals which Emma Chindah happens to be one.
The traditional ruler asserted that those who were conferred the traditional titles were well deserving sons of Wezina Ogbakiri who have used their position to add value to Ogbakiri kingdom and the lives of the people in general.
Prof. Vincent in his remarks on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the royal fathers and Ogbakiri kingdom for the privileged gesture.
Eze Ferdinand and his Council of Chiefs also greeted the following revered sons of Wezina with Chieftaincy Titles;
